Connectme TV designed an integrated advanced receiver which gives the viewers the sharpest HD picture quality and user-centric features such as pause and rewind live TV. Connectme TV was founded in 2006 and is privately held and financed by the Technology Development Fund and EFG Hermes. It has offices in Egypt and Canada and employs over 30 professionals from around the globe.

Now we are looking for Linux System Administrator with the following requirements:

Linux System Administrator.

Responsibilities

* Maintaining the integrity and security of servers and systems used for development and running Software.
* Manages multiple linked databases to include security, data safety and integrity, disaster recovery, and development and implementation of bulk data import/export procedures.
* Plans and implements system security policy, to include firewalls, host and client access, file permissions, and user accounts.
* Troubleshoots networks, systems, and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational problems.

Education

B.Sc. Computer Science - B.Sc. Engineering, we prefer AUC graduates.

Experience

Minimum experience of working on linux for 2 years as a system administrator alone

Skills & Specs

* Should have implemented solutions on at least two different distributions of linux. Redhat Linux.
* Should have a sound knowledge of TCP IP networking, OS internals including tuning the OS etc.
* Must be action oriented
* Strong problem solving skills
* Ability to identify, evaluate and learn new technologies rapidly and utilize that information in development.
