Reports to: Managing Editor

Requirements:
Employees in this position should:
  1. Possess very good Islamic knowledge and da`wah experience.
  2. Have an appropriate BA degree or higher (preferably in the humanities).
  3. Have excellent computer and Internet skills.
  4. Have an excellent command of the English language, especially writing and research skills.
  5. Have an interest in da`wah with non-Muslims and new Muslims.
  6. Be sensitive to people with different creeds and worldviews and be broadminded in approaches to da`wah.
  7. Be able to work in a team and alone.

Description:
  1. Participate in the editorial process under the supervision of the website's managing editor.
  2. Prepare edited articles/answers for the publication process.
  3. Prepare material for multimedia production in coordination with the company's multimedia department.
  4. Present the website to visitors, contacts.
  5. Continue to improve editing and writing skills.
  6. Interact with the website's staff by providing ideas for the website's various projects.
  7. Prepare any reports related to the website's activities.
  8. Organize and update the website's database of contacts and writers.
  9. Correspond with the website's contacts and writers.
  10. Follow up the website's editorial plan.
  11. Follow the daily news to provide ideas for producing material.
  12. Interact with other IslamOnline.net departments and attending Islamonline.net editorial meetings when required.
  13. Suggest topics and guests and moderating live talks.
  14. Suggest topics for discussion forums, posting topics, and interacting with the readers in the forums.
  15. Prepare, attending, organizing department meetings.
  16. Participate in the website's offline activities including attending/covering events and conferences related to the website's interests. This may include travel.
  17. Assist in the preparation of the website's seminars, research papers, special folders, online campaigns, etc.
  18. Respond to feedback that reaches the website.
  19. Attend the website's training programs as required.
  20. Manage the website's existing network of writers and contacts and recruit new writers, consultants, and contacts.
